AZJazzArtists can provide music for every part of your wedding, a solo or duo (often adding flute) for the ceremony, a trio for cocktail music, and a four to eight piece band for dancing! For the greatest variety of music a six or seven piece band with vocals is best, but a trio plus vocals can still provide great dance music. AZJazzArtists looks forward to working with you to customize the perfect band for your wedding. Please go to our Music Samples page to hear different combinations of musicians for your event.

AZJazzArtists can perform swing music for dancing and listening. The Dance Orchestra will play the music of the "Big Band Era" of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington etc, and "Jump" music from Louis Prima, Cab Calloway, and Louis Jordan. The Dance Orchestra is best with a six or seven piece band plus vocals. Listen here to Julie Anne perform a Swing classic from the Ray Charles song book entitled Hallelujah, I Love Him So

At AZJazzArtists we have a large repertoire of Mexican, Cowboy, and Latin music. We can provide from two to eight musicians to play for your event the same sounds of the Southwest. John Ronstadt sing in Spanish and Portuguese, and will create the authentic sounds of the Southwest for your event. Please go to our Music Samples page to hear John Ronstadt sing Mexican selections or Ed DeLucia play music of Antonio Jobim.

AZJazzArtists can provide a small jazz group (combo) for your needs most common instrumentations include:

one musician (solo piano or guitar)
Duo (piano or guitar with bass)
Trio (Duo plus drums, horn, or vocalist)

Any of these combinations can play any of our repertoire. These music styles include:

      The Great American Songbook

Pop (music of Motown, The Beatles, Burt Bacharach, etc.)

Classic Jazz means jazz played in one type of style or the repertoire from one of the great jazz bands. AZJazzArtists can play jazz of many styles but features two great "repertory" combos. The Tucson Hard Bop Quintet and Joe Bourne with The Gary Moran Trio are groups that perform arrangements as they were originally recorded brought to life with virtuosic performances and fresh interpretations and improvisations. This is music that AZJazzArtists keeps alive and performs with the vitality and intricacy of the original versions. Gary Moran and Scott Black carefully transcribe the introductions, interludes, shout chorures, and endings of great arrangements by Horace Silver, Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Nat Cole and many others. Please visit our Tucson Hard Bop Quintet and our Nat Cole Repertoire pages to learn more and hear music samples.
To many people Classic Jazz means early jazz from New Orleans (dixieland) and AZJazzArtists can provide you with a great dixie band. You will hear the "war horses" like When the Saints and Sweet Georgia Brown as well as great songs by Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and many more. This style of music is best with six or seven pieces but can be done with as few as three. Listen here to our seven-piece jazz band doing Jelly Roll Morton's King Porter Stomp.
